Dental and medical website designThe website that turns visitors into enquiries, even at eleven at night.

For dentists and medical specialists with their own practice: a website that loads fast, works on mobile and keeps the path to an appointment short. It doesn't replace marketing, it is the foundation everything else builds on.

The MedDirection Kompass: Align, Attract, Automate
Explained in three sentences

A practice website is the only channel a practice truly owns: web design, copy and technology show your services, your team and the way to an appointment, with no platform in between. It is the landing page for every ad, every review and every referral. What it doesn't do: bring in visitors by itself, for that it needs visibility.

Where practices stand today

Anyone looking for a practice checks the website first, often on their phone and often in the evening. If it loads slowly, lacks an appointment button or looks ten years old, the visitor moves on to the next practice. Not because the treatment would be worse, but because the first impression is made online.

What we do differently

We don't build a digital business card but the shortest path to an appointment: clear service pages, online appointment requests and fast loading times, with GDPR and German healthcare advertising law considered from the start. And we supply the copy and structure, so you don't wait months for your own content.

When you don't need website and web design

To be honest, there are cases where the money goes up in smoke. Then something else comes first.

Your website is less than three years old, loads fast and has an appointment request form that people actually use.

Then the website is not your bottleneck. Visibility brings more, meaning content for search and AI answers.

First: SEO and AI visibility →

You don't have time to attend two meetings and supply photos or practice details.

Without your approvals the project stalls. An initial call first clarifies what you can realistically contribute.

First: Consulting →

Your diary is full, and you don't want to grow any particular treatment.

Then the new site has no goal. First clarify where the practice wants to go, then build.

How it works

  1. 01

Initial call: goals, services, target group and what the old website can't do

    Week 1

  2. 02

Structure and design: site plan, draft, copy in your voice, photos from your practice

    Weeks 2 to 4

  3. 03

Build: development, loading speed, mobile, appointment requests, GDPR and HWG check, redirects for the old URLs

    Weeks 4 to 6

  4. 04

Launch and beyond: a short training session, ongoing maintenance in the monthly fee, a monthly look at visits and enquiries

    from week 6

What we automate, what stays human

Automated: hosting, updates, security, backups and the analysis of enquiries run automatically on our side.

Human: you decide structure, copy and images with us in two meetings. After that your website has a contact person, not a ticket queue.

What AI changes

Since Google's AI Overviews (in Germany since March 2025), websites get clicked less often; an Ahrefs study from February 2026 measures on average 58 per cent fewer clicks on the first result when an AI Overview appears. That makes it all the more important that the visits that do arrive turn into enquiries, and that the site is built so AI answers can cite it: clear service pages, definitions, questions and answers.

What comes before, what comes after

The website comes before ads and before visibility: every click lands here. After that come reviews, so you win the comparison with the practice next door, and tracking, so you see which visits turn into appointments. Reporting is always included.

Reporting is always included with us, not an extra.

FAQs on dental and medical website design

How much does a practice website from MedDirection cost?

The Basic website costs €5,000 one-off and then €520 per month. The monthly fee covers hosting, security, maintenance, technical findability on Google and in AI answers, and ongoing changes. For larger websites (Medium), for example with separate pages per service and online appointment booking, the one-off amount is €8,100; we quote the monthly fee after the initial call. Websites for several locations (Large) are priced individually.

How long does it take until launch?

Four to eight weeks. The biggest time factor is approvals and material from you, which is why we supply the copy and structure and mainly need photos, practice details and two meetings from you.

Can I keep my existing website and have it improved?

Sometimes, yes. In the initial call we check loading speed, mobile display, the path to an appointment and the technology. If the basis is usable, we revise it. If not, a rebuild is cheaper than patching.

Can I change content myself later?

Yes. Changes are covered by the monthly fee and we make them for you, and if you want to do it yourself, we show you how in a short training session after launch.

What about GDPR and the German Healthcare Advertising Act?

Both are part of every website we build: legally compliant consent for tracking, a privacy policy, no promises of cures, no impermissible before and after images. Your lawyer handles the legal review in individual cases; we deliver a clean foundation.

Why an agency for practices and not a website builder?

A website builder can produce a decent site if someone has time to maintain it. What it doesn't deliver: copy that patients and search engines understand, a short path to an appointment and a person who answers your questions. That is exactly what the monthly fee includes.

What makes good website design for a dental or medical practice?

A site that loads fast on mobile, shows within seconds what the practice treats and keeps the path to an appointment short. Plus real photos instead of stock images, and copy that patients understand.

Do you also build websites for specialists and medical care centres (MVZ)?

Yes. Our focus is on dental practices, but the approach works for any practice that manages its own appointments. For MVZs and multiple locations we scope the work individually.
